Formula One Singapore (Singapore) | Review

Round #14 has been completed this weekend... Singapore the only night race on the calendar. Already the fifth time the whole F1-Club comes there. And as they confirmed on friday; we will come another 5 years for certain. That is a nice thing. Altough this track is really modern. It has everything Monaco has as well. And that in the evening/night. But enough about the venue. The race itself is important.

Not such an interesting qually. Altough we had again many wall bangers. Senna know's this to well after this weekend. And because the weekend was already to bad, it became worse. He received a 5-grid penalty because the gearbox needed a change. De La Rosa had the same issue, but he started already from the back. So nothing big there. The race was nice, nothing really big happening. But still interesting to watch/follow. Hamilton was one of the first to exit the race. Which was quite a shame. Because he could have won this won as well. Just like the one in Monza. Completely no drive in the McLaren anymore. The next one was Maldonado, which was also a shame cause he qually'd on 3rd. Then there was a misfortune for Vergne again. This time caused by someone else: Schumacher. After the safety car he FORGOT to warm-up his breaks etc. So he went straight into Vergne. He will get a grid-penalty of 10 places for that for the race in Japan in 2 weeks time. There was also the HRT from Narain coming to a stop. But besides that everyone finished the race. There were also some curious overtaking. Senna with Massa (no action taken), Massa was not happy with this... But I guess Massa was just a bit f**ked up about getting stuck behind the Williams driver that had a good pace. The incident between Kobayashi and Webber was penalized, for Webber, 10sec. time penalty after the race. Which meant that Perez got 10th place and Webber 11th.

Too bad Vettel won the race. But Button went 2nd and Alonso 3rd. So still a good podium. Di Resta had a good result as well: 4th. The 2 Lotus drivers on six and seven. Ricciardo managed to get a STR in to the top 10 result as well on 9th. And Glock on a well deserved 12th place. So who disappointed us then ? Well: Kamui, who had some great moves but didn't came further then 13th. Hulkenberg on place 14.
