Formula One Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) | Review

The first race after the big summer break in formula 1. And right from the start of the weekend a great venue to watch. Rain on friday, but a sunny weekend. A great qually with Sauber in the top 4. Schumacher driving his 300 GP. Then the race itself. A real big shunt in the first corner (La Source). Grosjean didn't gave enough room and that meant that Hamilton was going up and over Romain. Followed by going up and over sideways on Alonso. And Perez who was being cought in the crash by Grosjean as well. Maldonado went out quite early after the followed up Safety car went back in. A lot of fights in the first 22 laps of the race. All around start and finish basicly. 3/4 part of the race was a bit downwards again. But the final part saw some good action again. Senna was strugling with his car, which is too bad, because he could finish up in the points. Raikkonnen did well but he didn't get all the power of the car as he wanted. Schumacher had some great fights as well, but lost the gained place again 9 out of 10 times in the next corner.

But the one who dominated the race was Jenson Button, from start to finish. And even in qually already dominant. A lot of incidents in the race. And 6 cars out of the race. So it's unavoidable that everybody gets away without a penalty... The first one to get one after the race is Maldonado, for the jump start, 5 places down after qually in Monza next weekend. And on top of that another 5 for an avoidable collision with Timo Glock. The next one and also the big one goes to Grosjean. He has a disqualification for Monza and a penalty of 50.000 euro's for causing it. It was not his first shunt this season so that's why he has got this penalty. In Monza he will be replaced by Jerome d'Ambrosio. And if you ask me, it stays that way ! I know Romain can do wonderfull things. I saw him in the GT1 and also GP2 (with in the GP2 also some big shunts). But in F1 he just not on top of his game...
